Local TV Consultation Update

Following the publication of its consultation: Licensing Local Television – How Ofcom would exercise its new powers and duties being proposed by Government, Ofcom has now published some accompanying documents relating to applications and coverage that were referred to in the consultation.

With the exception of the FTI Financial Model, these documents are provided in draft and, subject to responses that are received on local television, Ofcom says that it hopes to publish final versions of these documents.

The ‘Draft Note for Applicants on Coverage’ does not yet include the updated potential coverage maps; Ofcom hopes to publish these maps within the next few weeks.
