Marie Curie Uses Featurelink to Boost Fundraising Campaign
Marie Curie Cancer Care is using Featurelink to raise awareness of its Great Daffodil Appeal in March.
The appeal is Marie Curie's biggest fundraising campaign and throughout the month volunteer collectors are out asking people to wear a daffodil, in return for a donation.
All money raised helps provide more free nursing care for people with a terminal illness in their own homes and the charity’s nine hospices.
Editorial and images are available for local and regional newspapers to download and run in March.
Chris Dainty, director of communications for Marie Curie Cancer Care, said: “We’ve teamed up with Featurelink for our Great Daffodil Appeal to not only drive donations to the appeal but raise awareness of our nurses who provide free end of life care to people in their own homes and at the charity’s hospices.
“The regional press is an excellent vehicle for reaching people in the communities where we work and we have always had fantastic support from regional newspapers backing the appeal in the past. We hope this year will see the best ever take up, raising more money to ensure that people at end of life receive the right care, in the right place, at the right time.”
