KM Group Joins Locally Connected

KM Group will become the eighth local media publisher to join Locally Connected – the UK’s first integrated print and online audience currency.

This month, ABCe began the first of an ongoing series of monthly audits of KentOnline for the publisher which aims to join the system in April.

ABCe previously audited the website on an annual basis and the last audit took place in February last year.

It showed that the website, which acts as an umbrella for several local-interest and special-interest sites, received more than 4,200,000 page impressions from 286,500 unique users.

KM Group commercial director Brin Bucknor, who is also a JICREG director, said: “Being part of Locally Connected  is further evidence of KM Group’s commitment to being a true multimedia business.

“The integrated demographic data will be a huge aid to our sales teams who have until now had only print-based demographic information and average online topline user/visitor figures to share with potential clients.”

Locally Connected was launched in November and is the UK’s first integrated print and online planning currency. Seven local media publishers are currently part of the system.

They are: Trinity Mirror, Northcliffe Media, Johnston Press, Newsquest, Guardian Media Group, Midland News Association and Iliffe News & Media. KM Group data will appear as part of Locally Connected from April.
