NS STEPS UP MEETINGS ON BBC LOCALdotted divide v2

The NS has meetings scheduled in September with the BBC Trust and Ofcom to outline further its opposition to the BBC’s plans to develop 65 local news and information websites with local video content.

It has met with the Department for Business, Enterprise & Regulatory Reform this week and is arranging further briefing meetings with the Government to explain the damaging consequences of the BBC plans and the related public sector publishing and broadcasting initiatives.
