Agency Recognition
As a core service for Newspaper Society members, the Newspaper Society operates its own agency recognition scheme and is party to a joint Newspaper Society/Newspaper Publishers' Association scheme. Both schemes are based on a set criteria and monitoring procedures relating to the trading position of individual advertising agencies and assessment of credit worthiness.
The online Agency Recognition Book, available to NS members, includes guidance notes on the operation of the two agency recognition schemes and listings of agencies recognised by both schemes.
As the list of recognised agencies is subject to constant change, the list is amended on a regular basis. The amendments include additions to, and deletions from the list and reflect the decisions made by the Agency Recognition Committees each month.
