Intellectual Property Rights

We continue to defend publishers' intellectual property rights in Europe, while domestic negotiations have safeguarded the legal protection and revenue streams of newspaper databases. Our lobbying achievements in relation to the Copyright, Designs and Patents Act 1988 were substantial, and we are seeking to preserve these achievements in a multimedia context in the EU and UK legislation.
